Dance Studio Policies

At AAGDA, we believe that consistent attendance is essential for every dancer’s growth, confidence, and progress—especially as we prepare for our exciting end-of-year recital in June. Our season runs from September through June, with dancers building skills and learning choreography throughout the year.

Season Schedule

  • Our dance season runs September through June.

  • All classes work toward a final recital performance in June, which showcases what students have learned.

  • Enrollment is season-long. Dancers remain enrolled unless requested to drop via customer portal 30 days in advance.

  • As of January 2026 you are locked in for recital as we will be measuring/ordering costumes.

Tuition & Enrollment

  • Tuition is charged automatically on the 1st of each month.

  • All students are automatically enrolled month-to-month for the full season.

  • If you wish to discontinue classes, a drop request via the customer portal is required at least 30 days before the next billing cycle

General Attendance Expectations

  • Dancers are expected to attend all scheduled classes regularly and arrive on time.

  • Please aim to arrive 5–10 minutes early to allow time to prepare and warm up.

  • If a dancer is more than 15 minutes late, they may be asked to observe, for their safety.

Missed Classes

  • We understand that illness, family emergencies, and school events can arise.

  • If your dancer will miss class, please notify us in advance by phone or email.

  • Due to each class learning unique choreography, make-up classes are not offered. This ensures that every dancer stays aligned with their specific group’s routine and choreography.

Recital Commitment

  • Attendance becomes especially important in the months leading up to our June recital.

  • Dancers with excessive absences (3 or more in the final 8 weeks) may be removed from recital choreography to maintain group consistency and fairness.

  • Dress rehearsal attendance is mandatory to participate in the recital.

Communication is Key

We are here to support your dancer’s journey! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if:

  • Your dancer is unsure about class or needs encouragement.

  • You’re planning a vacation or extended absence.

  • You have any billing or schedule questions.
